My Kubota is a 23 HP, my son’s Kubota is 100 HP. He has attachments for it that are awesome. He had it “plumbed” for a grapple. That means running the hydraulic lines necessary for it to operate. Then he bought a shear for it. And he has a couple of big bush hogs that dwarf my little 4’ bush hog. A front end bucket that can really move some dirt! And hay spear that is on it now so I can set round bales.

Those books are quite a gift! I especially liked the one on grasses and white tailed deer, although I thought that you were too far west for white tailed, and more likely to see mule deer.
No mule deer here, they overlap white tails in west Texas. I live in the Piney Woods region, lush forests and pasture lands.

I loaded my tractor on the flatbed trailer, strapped it down, took it to son’s house and mowed last week. I’m getting better at loading it on the trailer, wratchet straps still confound me, but I’m getting better at using those too.
I was using tractor first of this week when it just wouldn’t go. It barely creeped along. I took it to Chris, he has a makeshift home “shop” and he does mechanic work. Haha, he closes the shop by dropping a tarp over the doorway. Gotta love Trinity County. Chris said the air filter was all clogged up, fuel filter was getting bad, both of which would bog down the tractor. So a complete oil change, all new filters, topping off hydraulic oil, and coolant. Hope I can pick it up today!

I picked up my tractor yesterday and mowed my yard! It was getting shaggy.
Picking up my granddaughters today, they are spending the week. There’s a Gospel Bluegrass Festival in Grapeland, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Hey that sounds like that flowering shrub I used to have! Anyway we are going tomorrow!

Picked up granddaughters Friday, will meet oldest granddaughter this Friday at my sister’s house to give them back. Oldest will turn 18 June 7, leave for Italy June 9 for 2 months, to babysit 3 kids, all expenses paid plus $450 euros per month. She’s excited!

Took the 2 to a gospel bluegrass festival in Grapeland on Saturday. They did the pony ride, cotton candy, and bounce house. Then we went to the lake and played in the water for 4 hours. Got ice cream and snow cones and listened to music before going home.

Youngest tried and tried to catch minnows, finally caught one!

Yesterday it rained all day, got 2” of rain. Girls binge watched TV. Today we are going to the movie, to see The Last Rodeo, go to lunch and go back to see LILO and Stitch.

We’ve made rice crispy treats, pumpkin pie and jello. Spaghetti, tacos, cereal, strawberries, blueberries drenched in Redi-whip. Yep, blown my diet, no Pilates, I’ve got to get back on track..,.. next week!

Practically nothing. Diesel. A oil and filter change every 300 hours. This check up was $380. Grease it, fuel it up and go! It’s a 23 HP Kubota, got a 4’ bush hog, box blade, disc, clamp on forks and front end loader. I love my little tractor! Her name is Marigold. But Marigold is too little for picking up round bales. BUT my son has a 100HP Kubota and I set bales of hay with it. He also has all kinds of attachments for it, but all I use is the hay spear. LOL
