Olivers Medical Journey Update
After a night of no sleep worrying about my feral boy. It was time for him to go with the possibility at one point of him never coming back.
As he was being examined under anaesthetic they saw that he was basically bones under his beautiful fur coat. In addition he had seriously bad dermatitis. This led the vet to believe he had leukaemia.
I got a call from the rescue asking if I would agree to have him put to sleep if this was the case.

. So trying not to be selfish I had no other choice but too say yes. I didn't want him in agony.
During this conversation, I reminded this lady how he had been missing for weeks due too loud men shouting and working on the property next door and a cat that tore him away from his kennel.
Then the temperature dropped to well below freezing with high winds, the wind alone has always terrified Oliver.
After the realisation of his body weight being so awful I said, this could likely be the reason for this weight loss.
Thankfully with this information they continued with blood tests and thanks to what ever powers that be, he doesn't have leukaemia.

Then they proceeded too neuter him and gave him all of the vaccinations that he had never had, plus flea tick and worming treatment.
It was confirmed by all of these professionals that he is a 100 percent feral cat. He didn't know what a cat litter tray was. But after 4 days my clever boy started using it.
Nancy no longer eats in the kitchen, and she now knows not to bother Oliver. But at some point this has to change
Ever since I have had Nancy, she's has been aware of Olivers presence in my life. I think she also realised when he was missing, I was so worried and searching for him morning noon and night. Often in tears with worry.
This is Oliver the day after the vets. He's eating like a hog
Bless Nancy, she actually crawled on her belly to try and befriend him, this was before his operation. Which resulted in him growling and hissing at her.
They had met face to face outside last year, not even 4 feet apart. Nancy was just wagging her tail and smiling, and Oliver just staring at her not moving or trying to get away. But 4 foot is still Olivers limits.
Here he is enjoying cat's t.v on my old mobile phone
I didn't think I would ever get that slow blink again. But this afternoon he did it. So we spent a good ten minutes just blinking at each other while I told him that I love him. I thought my eye lids would drop off
Oliver is ready for sleep now.

he now has his calming music with the purring in the background.
He deserves love he brought 4 lost cats here, one cat got rescued in the end by another lady. As for this ginger kitten, he has been rehomed by the same rescue that helped Oliver and I enormously. But he would never have survived if not for my boy
