I actually read that most cultivars (not 100% sure I'm using that term correctly for amaryllis) are hybrids, so pollination on the same plant can still produce a variety of results. But I'm quite far from an expert. The room concern might be an issue, but I figure they can be a little crowded...

I'm a bit limited in my options at the moment, but that wont stop me! I'm attempting to save amaryllis seeds. I cross pollinated a couple of varieties and am looking forward to the long process of seeing what that can produce.

Haha well..43 miles, so usually about 55 minutes. I have a few things that I might need packed up in the car. But whenever I've really had issues, the only thing I've needed has been the cell phone.

Finally going to get a little cold and windy tonight. Wind chills supposed to get down to -45 by morning. The roads were super icy coming home from work tonight. And it doesn't help that I drive like a Grandma...my 1 hour commute was almost 1.5 hours.

I had Sacre Bleu in full sun. It was a cool, wet year, but it still produced pretty well. I'm excited to see what I get from September Blue. Hopefully it is even better than 50% this grow out!

Wish we could have given you some of the rain from up here last year. After planting in my seeds/seedlings, I didn't water my plants once all summer and they were still unhappy from sitting in mud the whole summer. We had the wettest year ON RECORD where I live. But your garden looks like...
