i did have fun Friday trying to fix one of the spare mice i had that wasn't working as well as it should have been. i learned how to take it apart and how to take the switch apart and how to take the bit of metal spring out of the switch and to rebend it a bit more to get the spring back, but...

    Eating Well on a Budget

they need enough light and some should not be trimmed and let grow to full size (as in the less light you have the more leaves they need to be left untrimmed). we have full sun and almost all clay here in many places and the chives will take over if we let them, but we also hardly ever cut them...

Mom mentioned this morning that she wanted to move some windchimes. I said, "Yes, Master!" um, well, ok, when? now? oy... ok, so i got my work pants on and some gloves and just went out and pulled the windchimes and pole right out of the ground and brought it up to where she wanted to move...

    Tomato Question!

they may tolerate cooler temperatures but they're not really going to grow much until it gets warm enough. i don't plant the tomatoes here until towards the end of May, if you are at a higher elevation with risks of frost you may want to wait a bit longer or perhaps you only have a few plants...

knee pads are useful. i haul a ground pillow around with me when i'm weeding so i have something to sit on or kneel on when needed. saves the knees a lot of grief for sure - it also saves my back and knees if i'm doing some close up work weeding and want to get close up and personal to the...
