Help us pick a name for our farm!

What type of chickens? free range? non caged? heritage, organic, production? Maybe if you put something that people want from their purchase in the name it would help. How can I phrase that.... Some people want inexpensive, some people want ethical, some people want to think they are helping to...

    Life lapped me

Do you mean I need more dogs or I should make more wine? I don't drink the wine, maybe I should -then I would not care when I get so far behind. However...a puppy might spice things up around here. And bees. This is the year we get bees.(I say that every year too.) Today is flower seed day. and...

    Life lapped me

We have freezes, then garden weather, then too hot to grow anything but peppers, then a big lot of not much then a very short period of garden season then freezes. Last year I had a FANTASTIC garden...and then it rained for six weeks and everything rotted before I was able to put any of it up...

I was potting my Seedlings up into four inch pots today and I was Thinking that I must be forgetting something important because usually I am way behind and I seem to be right on schedule... then it occurred to me. I am a whole year behind. I only look like I am in front.

That blue bottle tread that we all needed but dared not start.

Yeah, Like the ones in the link. Blue, green, coke bottle blue. My brother got all the ones when we were little, because he was bigger I suppose, anyway, they were red and brown and dark colors. Now they seem to be light clear colors. Every once in a while they will put a nut in it and that's a...

That blue bottle tread that we all needed but dared not start.

My husband has been collecting the marbles out of spray cans for decades. I have a use for them now. The are in a jar on the window sill in the barn. oh! I could put some in the doors of the barn. maybe not. I did melt the carpet in my car with a glass bottle full of water.

That blue bottle tread that we all needed but dared not start.

That's an idea. Or some oil based stain. The only stain I have is green though. Maybe I should stop fighting the over abundance of green and just use them.---But if another beer manufacturer made a batch or really awful beer, we'd buy it all up just for red bottles.

What-chew gonna do? (I keep buying cases of that beer and telling my husband,"Drink this, I need...

    Robots

Modern human part? I just have to old human part. We have our teenager on retainer. We pay him $20.00 a month to help us make the computer do what we need it to do. Well, actually, he does that for free. We pay him to stop doing the face palms and eye rolls.

thinking of growing sweet potatoes, could use some input

You know, I have had it go both ways, but it seems like once the roots start It doesn't rot. I use the tooth picks like the avocado seed. Or just let the potato scab over and let it set on the window sill. The humidity and temperature down here seems to be the deciding factor on that one...

thinking of growing sweet potatoes, could use some input

I go to the grocery store. I chop off the top, put it in water on my window sill, and eat the rest. I guess that isn't the way I am supposed to do it. I plant the slips in the summer, they like sand around here. I worked so hard to give them lovely loamy earth, and they do better in sand. I...
