Any ideas on how I can make him happier?
I have this plant growing in my veggie garden, it's right where some peppers should be...but it doesn't look like the other peppers.
I tried to pull it before but my boyfriend thinks it's a pepper, I think it's a weed.

Here is a little bit from Science daily:

What is your favorite natural and safe way to keep away bugs.
I always liked catnip to keep away mesquitoes.
Or Mint to keep mice out of the house.
What about you??
I use Ollas to water my veggies. They are clay pots that you bury in the ground, fill with water and allow the water to slowly seep out of the porous pot into the soil. Your plant roots will gravitate toward the pots.
You can learn more about them here:

I have more then just one square foot for the corn. I guess I did word that kind of funny. I have about 3ft x 4ft (maybe more if I turn over some more soil) . I was just wondering how many I would plant in that area, or how far apart they needed to be.
So I can plant two per square foot?
I'm in Michigan too and I just planted some pumpkins I got for free from the nursery (they were going to be thrown out cus they are little brown) I think I can bring them back to health. I've never had pumpkins before though...so we shall see.

Anyways...on with the pictures...
Most hardware stores also carry the pound liner (it comes in roll like fabric, you just dig the hole any shape or depth you want, lay down sand, then lay down the pound liner fabric, and put rocks around the outside to weight it down, and fill. If you do a google search for it you'll find alot...

I'm yet to actually harvest any of the nuts. The first year we didn't know what it was, by the time we learned most the nuts were on the ground and rotting. How do you go about peeling off the hard green outer part of the nut?
