Good luck! We didn't prune ours last year and they went a little nuts! We've got about 4 times our usual harvest this year! We've been picking and freezing as quickly as possible. They sure are delicious!

I just thought about doing this yesterday! I pulled up half a dozen volunteer plants yesterday and they had pieces of yellow tomato skin stuck to their roots. I figured that's what had happened. I might try this, if I dont get 60 tomato plants! lol

Thanks! I've been finding my share of ladybugs too. I've been guiding them to my garden, we'll see if they help. The roses are infested with aphids this year, so hopefully a few will hang out there too, lol. I counted 24 one time, then I counted 18 another.... so Im assuming at least 24...

You're welcome. Same here, although I do live in an agricultural community. Most people my age just do not know where anything they consume comes from. Luckily for me, now being in college, I am able to take agricultural classes and meet other people that share my interests. I get the chickens...

I just wanted to say Congrats & Good Luck on your gardening. Its great to see other young people doing this. I've gardened my whole life (18 years) and its hard to find others my age that do as well. I hope all goes well for you. :D
