    i like the table'n'chair idea. my garden will be on a bit of a hill though. and now that I think about it, the hill is just perfect because it will block very little sun during the day.

    i can't really answer your questions, but do you know where all the little shoots come off the walla walla onions? about a half an inch above that is where you can clip them when they're young so that they produce more root and less shoot(and seeds)

    corn vs. carrot i think we all know that corn would take up a lot more space than carrots. so if i have corn on the very outside and carrots on the inside, the carrots could still go all the way around the square while not taking up so much room. its mostly for looks though. i can't think of...

    Anybody ever order flowers from Burgess?

    we ordered from burgess too and as far as flowers go my mom was pretty...um, mad, for lack of a better appropriate word. we the whole "roots in a bag" deal too. i will say we were satisfied with everything else, mostly trees, that we got in our rather large three part order.

    could it possibly be just too many fruits to fill for one plant? maybe risk hand thinning so it doesn't have as many? just a guess though.
