Yes...and Juniper also. June looks like she'll be the next to go, but I expect both she and Shine will go on the same day when it happens. They both look about the same in their progress...ligaments look a little looser, vulva getting looser and pink, etc.
You can see the timber equipment behind them...having the place select cut logged right now to thin out trees to make silvopasture for the sheep~that kind of ruins the pretty of the place right now, but we'll get it lined out. Got all males thus far, rather a plain looking group....was hoping...
The past few days I finally got a chance to take a few pics....
And folks think you need to get goats to have milk and to get one's brush eaten down. Just look at that nice udder!
:D
May's tiny single...out of the woods and doing fine today, strong and vigorous.
This whole section...
I have 3 right now, one set of twins and a single. All healthy and doing fine, mothers doing fine. Got pics last night but too busy today to put them up.....I will though! Thanking God for healthy lambs and easy lambings!
Around here the stores are getting back to normal, all things pretty much available, even TP...the meat cases look a little bare, but we don't eat store bought meats much anyway, so it doesn't affect us. Gas prices are at all all time low of $1.79, which is nice....all containers have been...
Happy day, Major!!! I'm tickled you are still here where we get to experience your particular brand of humor, which I love! Keep on making us laugh, we sorely need it. :hugs
:gig You don't live out in the sticks, do you? :D Behind us are thousands of acres of uninhabited wilderness, no neighbors for 1/4 mi. on either side or out front and our water lines and septic field are not anywhere NEAR our garden.....we aren't so cramped here we have to locate a garden near...
Started digging a hole....a big one...on Saturday. Found my garden has an underground spring running through one end, so started digging a hole to tap into it to create a pool for the ducks and to divert that spring/underground seep away from my young apple tree's roots. Got a foot down...
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!! So appropriate for these times, @Carol Dee....so many fearful, anxious people who claim to have faith, but their open fear and jittering about this cold virus tells the truth about that. Faith and fear can not coincide in the same heart for long.
Working on the garden fencing today, trying to get the extension fence secured with deer netting and rabbit wire to keep out the chickens. With it being so rainy and hot right now, there's no sense in trying to plant any kind of food here until the rains taper off, so the spuds won't be...

"They ran to the groceries,
they filled up their carts,
They emptied the Tops and
Price Chopper and Walmart,
They panicked and fought and
then panicked some more,
Then they rushed to their homes
and they locked all the doors.
The food will be gone!
The milk eggs and...
Planted some perennials with the little girls today~rudbeckia, monarda, echinacea, and butterfly bush. Baited a bee hive, hoping to lure in a swarm. Peach trees are in full bloom and finally saw some pollinators today....can smell that blossom on the night air, smells like honey!
Favorite board game was Sorry....my grandmother had it and played it with us, which was a rare thing for her to do. Always hated Monopoly....as the youngest of nine, I was always the shoe or the iron and I always lost. I STILL lose at Monopoly, guess I never improved on making money...
That was quite a privilege! I too had a privileged upbringing of living off grid for 9 years, starting when I was 10 yrs old. We homesteaded, starting from scratch by building a 2 room log cabin, hauling water from a spring, clearing the land with hand tools, living poor and off the land for...
