we'll see... last winter was not much snow. i miss my shovelling when there's not enough snow. plus it looks better.

for me the results have mostly varied because of soil conditions and diseases which come from too much moisture at the wrong time and not getting it lifted when it is ready. the size of bulb has a lot of factors, but overall sunshine, competition, nutrients, water, spacing all play a role...

it is. i've had a few glasses of water and rested up and am now enjoying lunch and likely will get a nap in. this coming week the highest temperature in the forecast is 76F for next Friday, lowest nighttime temperature forecast is 45F.

yes. :) i was unsupervised enough with a gas stove that i learned (sometimes the hard way) to be careful.

forecast was for high of 72F and scattered shower chances this afternoon. i see a few north of us not likely to get here as they are heading east. one small one missed us a bit ago. i was outside enough to enjoy the day and to get things done until i was tired enough to stop. that's as good...

top part of the north garden is done at last. finished up that and got it scraped and then went and picked some peppers for making stuffed peppers this afternoon and a few tomatoes for yum. there's starting to be enough tomatoes to do some canning. also a lot of beans ready to pick too.

they are certainly very interesting creatures and also a good warning about how to do things wrong or right in terms of observing what is happening in the world around you.

bits of rain so far, humid and going to get warmer, not sure what i'm doing today until i do it.

it is so sad when such extremes happen. as a mid-20s someone i had issues and considered that option but am glad to say that i figured things out and managed to avoid the extreme soon ending choice.

we're in a low spot, have you ever heard the expression "Foggy bottom"? yes, we've got one of those (Mom may say something about Me, butt we don't have to go there do we?)... it is very rare we don't have fog and heavy dews here.

i was hoping to be almost done by now in that north garden mess. nope. i did get two rounds in today and somewhere around 11 buckets of weeds put on the weed pile (which is really stacked up enough now that i'm pushing things off under the bushes and trees next to it). one or two more rounds...
