nice to see flowers this time of the year, but not too long ago we had some plants flowering here (radishes and irises).

wow! having grown up growing tomatoes or buying them by the bushels for canning (and picking them!) i can't imagine a life without them in the mid-to-late-summer and early fall.

i like peas. peas please. :) i also do like basil and pesto, no matter how much. cilantro i like even more. dill i will eat the flowers from as i walk by and also eat a lot of the fronds too if there aren't too many bugs on them. fennel, yum!

the last bean garden is put up for the winter. that leaves me with just odds and ends sorts of chores in the gardens. the biggest one left will be digging out some quackgrass. that stuff doesn't give up easy - especially if there is a patch of it growing right next to the spot you're trying...

she lives down south in TN so their brrr season is much different than here, but she grew up in this area. we get some of those reflections off cars too here towards the end of the day but gladly we don't get too many of them.

at least you don't leave it to cook on the burner for a few hours extra. :)

we have a decoration (a pyramid of sorts) out back that Mom built a long time ago with various pieces of broken mirrors stuck on the sides. for some reason today with the sunshine and the right angle from the sun being on it i had a spot of reflection on the wall above a bookcase. i've not...

that was a long time ago, but it has come around again. :)

got a few garden tasks taken care of today. some gardens i had on my list to finish up the last buckets of wood ashes so those were scattered. usually i dig them in to keep them from blowing around and i thought to myself that if it is calm enough today and tonight that perhaps they won't blow...

it was nice enough to be outside for a while. tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and bit more breeze and perhaps more sunshine.

and also there needs to be a reminder to every potential dog owner that the dogs you see in movies or on-line are usually well-trained and you're not seeing all the work through the years to get them to that point.

i missed a previous post where you got rid of the horse you had before that looks now to have not worked out. i do recall though that there were issue with her being spooked at times and worries about that not being safe with children, so kudoes on you knowing that and being able to move on.

wow! would eat the entire dish...

i recommend only doing part of it with cilantro since some people have such bad responses to the taste. personally i would be fine with it. :)
