I planted Longstanding Bloomsdale and cant complain seeds where up and out of the ground in about a week and a half and grew well. They just started to bolt but I did get 4 pickings off the row. Where you keeping the plant watered well? Chris

I believe that you can grow a good amount of potatoes above ground as long as the potatoes have plenty of moisture, nutrition, and you keep them hilled. I have always had fair to good luck planting the old fashion way [below ground] so I really never thought much about planting above ground but...
