dang, sorry for the confusion but I must have been tired. I am finding little holes in my cukes. I know it is fall and the bugs are out in force which is what makes fall gardening so difficult but still I would like a cuke no swiss cheese.

I finally got two tomatoes off of my second planting of them and they have little hoes in them? What could be causeing this? So far this has not happened before.

I know it is a beetle but I read conflicting reports on what to do about them. I have read that most damage is aesthetic and should be left alone. I also read that damage can be damaging. In my opinonion I think they are damaging my plants. What do you feel?

Mine was repotted this year with some mirical grow potting mix so I though I would not have to fertize but I will give it a try!

Do you grow catelop or other melons or did you just give up on them all together? I was thinking on giving up because of how much they do take over. I already hate the attack of the killer cukes but at least I get a ton of cukes verses 1 or 2 melons.

I have no clue they are definitely a pale yellow but have been for a while now. I was waiting for them to get real color or bright color but no and half the bush has already turned. I will leave them on the plant for a while longer but... They were not even good as a green pepper.

So I grew these and I am so not impressed. They look like they should from the pics at Bakers Creek (where I got them from) but they are way bitter. And that is way gross. Anyone else grow these and have anything I can do. They plant is loaded with them but they are not something I want to eat.

Never heard of them but think it is way awesome that you have such a bounty. I think worse come to worse bake (if they are like a winter squash) and put them in the freezer for pumkin bread type dishes or soups.
