any lilies we grow outside of fences get eaten by deer, rabbits, etc. some years they might flower but most of the time they get munched on and eventually most of them give up.

in the south there were plops and spits from chew and smokers inside the stores. it didn't matter if there were ashtrays or whatever provided... as for up here, yes, they have bins outside the doors for butts.
