I don't know what this groundcover is, but I would sure like to know. It is taking over my beds and has over taken some of my Dianthus. It seems invasive to me. The homeowners before us planted it. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Should I rip it out? I would like to anyway because of how...
I ripped it out of the ground last summer just to be on the safe side, and forgot to take a picture of it before I took it out. Hopefully someone out there knows what kind of plant this is, and if the berries are poisonous. I had never seen it before until we moved out here to the country. It...
I think I'm going to be a terrible gardener. I kept looking intently at my rosebushes when my mother told me to prune them...every time she came over this late summer and early fall, and never did it. It would have been easy I'm sure but the thought of cutting my rosebush nearly down to the...
I looked and didn't see one. If there is one can someone direct me to it? If not is it possible to make one? There are so many terms on here that I don't know, since I am new to gardening. I think it would be easier to have a quick reference with definitions of at least the basic gardening...
I am not really sure what kind of shrub/tree this is, but they are all over our property. Anyone have any ideas? It doesn't seem to get much taller than 6 ft tall, but most of them are shorter than that. I am unsure if they can get taller, I just know that is about how big they are on our property.
I thought I would start a thread that everyone can say where they purchase their plants, trees, seeds, starts, etc and why they buy them there. For many gardeners starting out, this can be an overwhelming endeavor, and to know a great place to get good plants, and why can take the edge off of...
Last night we had a Thunderstorm with close to 70 mph winds, and it downed almost half of one of our black walnut trees. My question is are they harvestable now, or are they a loss? Can anyone tell me about the wood? I don't want to just burn it, b/c I have heard that the wood is very expensive.
I have seen a lot of mulberry trees in my life, so I am pretty sure this is a mulberry, but they usually have fruit on them when I see them. I havent seen one this small in years and my memory is a little rusty. Can anyone confirm if this is Mulberry please? Thanks!
We have wild blackberries on our property and I would like to make some blackberry jam with them if someone has a recipe. Is it easy? Hard? what do I need? thanks :)
