Garden Ornament
Well, it's over, my garden that is. Today we took down all the cages, stakes, and felt covering. My DH ran the bushhog through and cut everything down.
I started throwing old veggies at my DS. He grabbed his old aluminum t-ball bat and wanted me to pitch to him. He's 17 now but still has a great swing. He hit most of them. A few of those exploded all over him. I picked up anything throwable I could find, hardened cukes, baseball size melons, tiny green tomatoes, you name it. After we "composted", we both had to hit the showers to wash off all the seeds and veggie parts.
Just one of those great days when it's the simple things he will remember.
