All right, I managed to get the pics posted, but I forgot how to enter the text... The sixth picture down is the hibiscus. You can just see the green leaves sprouting from the root area...
I was reading about planting comfrey under fruit trees. As you can see, the comfrey is doing very well- and should be taller than the apple tree, by the weekend!
The last picture is my wooden path. I love this thing. We just cut up logs into 2-3 inch slices and put them in the ground, like pavers. According to my research, they should last about 5 years. They look really natural. Since I took the picture yesterday, I have started filling the bare dirt area, with moss...

I love the path!! Now I must go find a tree to cut down so I can have my very own! Your seedlings are looking really good too...and the flowers...and the cool old bike...and, well yeah, the whole thing is just really pretty.

Love your use of old bike! is that forgetmenot around it??? and your lupins are lovely...I wanted to make pavers out of the tree trunk that fell but DH didnt like the idea...so he split the wood

Thanks! Yes those are forget-me-nots. I just love them! They actually came from my Mom's garden, so they are extra special. Momofdrew, you will have to show him the pic- maybe he will like the way it looks... for the next tree. My Dh wasn't crazy about the idea- but even he likes the way it looks!

Your flowers are weeks ahead of mine, although the peony is loaded with buds and should pop next week sometime.
I love forgetmenots too! For some reason mine have petered out. I must have been pulling them before the seed ripened.
The tree slice path is cool looking, that's a definite project idea for my picket garden.
I need more projects on my list.
I would need to do something to keep the darn carpenter ants away from it tho'. Mine would have to be pine, since that's what we have. I wonder if the longevity would be different?
