So sorry to hear of this. I'm really glad the nurse assisted you in those last words to him. I feel sure our loved ones hear and comprehend those last words.
Thank you for letting us know, so we each in our own way can share and empathize with your loss. Grief shared is grief lessened, to some degree.
When Dad was on his death bed we were able to gather a lot of the family. He was unresponsive but when his great-granddaughter walked in, his eyes lit up. Im sure your words comforted him.
No matter how long his life, losing a loved one always comes too soon for those left behind. You have my sympathies and prayers through this time of grief. Shortly after the passing of my father, I 'saw' him jumping up and waving from the way-back line of the celestial choir. Always a friendly guy, he probably was there to welcome your father. Hugs!
it's always the hardest for those left behind. the great thing is when we have the confidence they are with our Heavenly Father. how hard it must be for you to lose them both so soon. sure sorry.
My Daddy died in 1992........I still miss him, but every thing I do in my garden is because of him and what he taught me. Now I am teaching my grand daughter.
