I just started taking pictures of the various insects and weeds in my garden, and I'd love to start learning their names and what they are. Anyone know what this one is?
my first intuition was that it was a brassica and i wasn't wrong.
it is also edible! if that is the right plant.
"Hairy bittercress (Cardamine hirsuta) leafs out in a basal rosette, and like other members of the mustard family (Brassicaceae), its tender greens are edible. Don't be fooled by the common name—its flavor is mild and peppery, not bitter."
