Changes to body from middle age, makes daily intake of prunes a must. After almost a year of eating and drinking prunes, i am kind of bored with them. Looking for new ways to consume prunes.

Nyboy, I don't eat prunes. But have you tried about a half cup of blueberries with greek yogurt in the monrings? Works for me. :)

Cut them up over a bowl of cereal.
Split them open and stuff with cream cheese.

Just had a brain flash;
Pint jar, stuff with prunes, cup of sugar, fill with vodka. I think you know what to do after that..... :lol: Prune cordial! :lol:

BUT you would have to toss the vodka and eat the prunes anyway to get the benefit. Sounds like a before bed snack. You won't want to be driving when you're full of prunes.

No expert here, but my thinking is that plums made into prunes are a deep purple and freestone. I think there may be several varieties used for prunes. I don't see using the red plums that the plum sticks to the seed, for prunes. JMO
