Anyone Ever Purchase Ladybugs ?

just looked at ebay. Nothing under 15.

Wonder what time of year do we put the eggs out? I have white flies on my fuchsia and aphids on my snow peas.

If you have whiteflies and aphids now @murphysranch , then today would be a good day to release adults. And then follow up with some eggs.

I would research the best time to put them out and get them directly from a source instead of a middleman. They are live after all. I got lacewings too and do not remember the outcome wit those. I also bought the insect that lays its eggs inside of pests like the tomato horned worm. You can see when the are infested as they have spiny protrusions coming out of them. That is the lavae eating their way out.

Nurseries will have them available at the right time for release. Maybe you could check around locally.

I have only seen then once at nursery they where stacked at check out. I also was never looking for them, so who knows how many times I walked right by them. Growing up there where large rose of sharon in front yard, they would be covered in lady bugs, we would catch and put in jars. lighting bugs the same, poor bugs they never lived.
