Anyone Ever Used This in Clay ?

I have never used one but have been told that they work pretty well. If your soil (clay) has had enough rain, you should be ok.
Around here, unimproved soil turns to pottery when it dries out. I was trying to pull up regular tomato cages out of the new area of my garden. The wire legs of the cage had been shoved way down into the dirt, much farther than I had amended. I couldn't get some out, pulling with all my might. Gonna have to wait for rain to soften that stuff.
If your soil is that hard, that auger might just bounce off.

It does get that hard, but not till summer, also very rocky.

I've never used that but it should work great in clay. Roots and rocks could cause a problem.

Like most bulbs daffodils don't like a water-logged soil. They need it well-drained, but moist. They also need at least partial sun. They won't bloom if its too well shaded. They can tolerate some shade.

Usually early spring the woods are sunny, till trees leaf out, Hoping timing works, by time of heavy shade bulbs are ready to go dormant.

That actually works pretty well for me, Nyboy. Living in the woods requires some planning and effort for a good flower garden.
