We're planning a trip there in Oct.
Charleston will be as far east as we will go.
We're in NEOK and will be going down hiway 60 much of the way. We like the back roads.
Well be also going through Tn. and Ky.
Any suggestions on things to see. We're not into chain restaurants we like flea markets.
thanks

Don't know much about that end of the state and the flea markets to be had there. Greenbrier is a mighty pretty county~BIG stretches of farmland~ and you can visit White Sulphur Springs there....big time government hideout built under that resort.

You called it....just beauty around every bend of the road. A little further upwards of Rt. 60, on the eastern side of the state and all the way to the panhandle, is some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole state.

:love.... be still my heart, to be surrounded with such natural beauty. I've always wondered about covered bridges is it to keep the weather off so they will last longer or is it some other reason? There's just something about covered bridges that takes me back in time to another era. Thanks for sharing this beautiful countryside with us.
