Deeply Rooted
Last night, I complained to DH that one of the grapes I ordered (Edelweiss) was not available as they'd had a bad year at the nursery, so I was vaguely disappointed. Now I've only got one table grape that ripens fairly early--was hoping to have at least a couple of vines that would produce throughout the season, in different colors, but no such luck.
DH says, "Just buy grapes at Whole Foods already."
Because, you know, $7/lb. watery, halfway-to-raisins Thompsons White Seedless grapes imported from Chile are just as good as the kind fresh-picked at their sugar peak and eaten within 48 hours.
*sigh* He understands the difference when it comes to sugar snap peas, tomatoes, peppers, and strawberries. He cannot extend this reasoning to grapes?
Oh well, off to start the chores and corn-planting.
