attaching videos from computer

was trying to attach a video clip from my computer and received a error message saying the following.
uploaded file does not have a allowed extension

tried a couple different file types avi, wmv with no luck finally tried facebook and was able to load through the media button.
is there a way to just upload movie clips directly form my computer or am i doing something wrong???

Unfortunately the system doesn't support direct uploads of videos, but you can upload to one of a myriad of free services and then embed the videos directly into your post:

• Dailymotion
• Facebook
• Liveleak
• Metacafe
• Vimeo
• YouTube
