But are those stores proftable or are they lower performing / unprofitable as reported to the IRS ? Beeing busy has no basis in reality if the business in question is not making a profit. An example : in a recent IRS audit a lady who made artsy chandeliers and sold through several outlets in 3 states ... she made NO profit on the sales but had huge production, business traveling, marketing, and advertising costs for 6 years. She lived on and operated her business on her sizeable Insurance inheritance after her husband died. The IRS rules and regulations state that a business has to make a profit in at least 2 years out of 4 or be considered not for profit and from that point on is considered not a business but a hobby and is then treated as such.

I would think long lines of customers from opening till closing would equal profit. Not the kind of place people window shop.
