I think I may have a nest in composter. Should I just leave it and mix as usual? Chickens having a field day eatting them. Is the too much dry you think? I put in a lot of coffee grounds from starbucks recently. Any ideas/ It maybe just that time of year. My hot composter is near my cold compost which has alot of leaves and dry stuff I throw in if need be.

It might be a little dry. Should be about as wet as a damp sponge. I wouldn't worry about them. Just keep turning, as usual. I figure insects in compost, probably, help break stuff down and move minerals around in the heap. Just be sure to be adding about half as much "green" material, as you do "browns"....to get the heat up.
