Blackberries - soil amendments for berry quality

Poison and cardboard. I have to kill a LOT of volunteer maple trees and they LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE to grow right next to a wooden fence post.

Had blackberries by garden. Decades later still trying to irradicate.

I have one too that I keep pulling out. There's no room for it and I've never let it produce to see what it tastes like.

The only reason I got it was because I was at a little cafe for lunch and the owner came out and gave me a small bowl. They were the sweetest I had ever had! She didn't know the type and I think she got them from the Farmer's Market.
