Okay Pat, I'm goin' to bump this back to the top of the list for ya'!!

Does it count that my grandfather was from London, Ontario? No, probably not . . .

spent much of his life here in the Wild West and returned to BC in his old age. I understand that crossing Canada in the 1890's made quite an impression on him. On the way, his family spent the Winter and maybe longer in Manitoba. He said that the snow was up to the eaves of the house.

But, I've gotta tell ya'. I live at quite a bit higher latitude than you do. And, up here near 49 degrees North, the nights have gotten pretty darn loooooong. Luckily, the Summer sun shows up every year . . . :coolsun

I'm from Ontario too, in Kendal, about 1 1/2 hours from Toronto, 25 minutes from Oshawa.
