It isn't like Thistle' to be gone so long, either.
We probably all know about losing family and the 1st holidays after.
My grandmother died on Thanksgiving when I was a kid. We didn't celebrate the holiday for several years afterwards. It may have something to do with me learning to make pumpkin pie. I had to help Mom thru that holiday and that loss.
