Careful With Heaters

I hate these heaters prefer the oil ones. One of my guys decide to use, please be careful

oil filled is the only way.. going to get mine from the barn this 24% humidity is killing me....

i can't tell if that is melted plastic or ruptured metal hose... either way, yes, be careful.

oil filled just sound dangerous to me no matter what...

i used to use a small air flow resistant heater to keep this side room a little warmer than the rest of the house. when Mom was away during the week at her nanny job i could keep the main part of the house at 50-55F and just warm up this room. now she's here most of the time. it's a balmy 65F in here during the day and 62F at night.

this is only temporary , have it near the air handler and set on medium 5 with a pan of water on top in the hope of getting some moisture in the house, 68* and feels like 45* becuase it's so dry....

Oh...there is a heater in that picture My bad. My former FIL taught me a cram course full year of auto mechanics. He was a WW2, Korean War and Nam Vet. Motor pool. I was the only son he never had! ( He had 5-sons). and yes...he had over 30' of shelf with reference manuals, Chilton, you name it.

Growing up my parents had old stream radiators and would put bowls of water on them. Looking back kind of doesnt make sense, steam would have added moisture to air
