I have used the rubber bowl in used tires for 30 years to feed grain to mares out in ratation pastures. Also to have clean water for the ducks since they would turn over the water bucket just as fast as I would set it out for them. Then have to change out the DIRTY and SOILED water a couple hours later. YUCK ! :(

"Beekissed, Do y'all live where it snows at all? I'm seeing potential problems, if so.

We rarely have snow we would need to be very careful of that yes.. I am also going to cover it with a white tarp
that is 20x30 in the rainy months and keep the rain and sun off

Now that my computer seems to be behaving once again, here is the first shot of Hilda and her clutch of chicks.
chickens Hilda and chicks.JPG

I was wrong about the cats getting any babies. With the exception of the one I put the cage on in the dark and the one that drown in Thing One's water bucket, there are 11 babies running around in the garden shed.

I do need another picture. Those little ones have grown so quickly.

I guess the cats caught feral birds while I was trying to count moving chicks.
