Yes. The Hot Springs actually belongs to the ranch. The boss is having a hard time keeping people there to run it, but it’s a huge money maker. The only reason he opened it and started charging was people kept cutting the fence down to use it and letting the cattle out. He tried keeping mostly bulls in that field but it didn’t stop them.Oh yes the Alvord desert. At some point Idaho has tried to change the eastern border because proponents argue that the rural eastern counties have more in common with Idaho, and are not adequately represented by Oregon state representatives. Lots of cattle ? Are you near the Alvord hot springs?
The Hongs was originally developed for the hay crew. Years ago, when the ranch was run by horse power, the hay crew would get do sweaty and stinky the ranch cook wouldn’t let them in the cookhouse, so it was for them to bathe in
