What is the best method to propagate ( clone ) lavender from cuttings ? :hu

:lol: To late....Hate to break it to you but, aren't you lavender 2 as in the second.

I have not propagated it from cuttings, just started it from seed. A bit tricky and slow going, but I have started Munstead, Hidcote, and Lavender Lady (English types). The French and (I think Spanish) Lavenders are not hardy here. :\

I did this in 2014 after bringing in a lot of compost to my garden. I cut a shoot off the parent lavendar plant, pulled off the lowest leaves, plunged the cut end into the compost next to momma, watered it and walked away. This could be a one off, but the plant looks happy and even survived this horribly cold winter.
