I think mine are also year round residents -- plain old ruby throated ones as far as I can tell. They have been here since we arrived in freezing cold February. Either they were *very* early for spring, or they just stay here.hoodat said:We're fortunate in this little corner of the US. I have counted as many as ten at one time and they keep me busy making simple syrup and refilling feeders at least every other day. Best be careful if you go outside and the feeders are empty, they will let you know about it!
