Yesterday, the sun was out and shining all day! Today, we had afternoon sun. The clouds and fog blew away just about noon. It was 15°f (-9°C) this morning and didn't rise above freezing but it sure was a pretty afternoon with sun & blue sky.

In the weather 2026 thread, I related how we experienced a tedious 7 days with no sun. The temperature stayed right around freezing and there wasn't a single day with a greater difference between the low & high of more than 6°f.

The unheated greenhouse thermometer sending unit stays under the bench in the greenhouse but the receiver sits in the kitchen window. It's easy to keep track of there altho matters little through the Winter. I check it just by passing by and glancing at it, often. It never varied more than 2 degrees Fahrenheit during those 7 days. It also stayed right at freezing in the greenhouse. This is what a Lack of Sunlight does. The greenhouse moderates the temperature but did no better than that over those 7 days.
