I hope there was video!
@Dirtmechanic I was invited to attend an executive management course in Boston. It had 12 world wide executives, including me. I had to do a speech, with background music. I selected American Woman, by the Guess Who. Folks loved the music!!

It is really the humidity. In Alabama we leave vapor trails like an airplane when we walk. if you see a cottonhead walking with a butterknife held out in front he is not leading a small charge, he is cutting the air.
That’s East Texas too! People think all of Texas is rocks and desert, not true! East Texas is HOT and dripping with humidity.
My joke is, Texas is good practice if you’ve been bad in life and expect to go to He// when you die!

My roofer says his crew can always work in those 100 degree rooftops with breakfast foods but other stuff slows them down... I don't do temps over 80 very well at all... Need to put the barn fan on the garden!!
I roofed my house 2 years ago in July. On Saturdays I had help until noon. During the week I did prep work, replacing plywood decking, underlayment, radiant heat barrier, 2x4 lath strips for the metal, had to quit by noon or have a heat/humidity stroke. I had text buddies that I checked in with hourly in case I fell off the roof. BWAHAHAHA!

Drank my 2 cups of coffee, waiting on daylight so I can go sort sheep. Gonna separate ewe lambs to take to auction on Saturday. Nearest decent auction for sheep is 3 hours away. The best one is 5 hours away. I’m smack dab in the middle of cattle country. The cattle auctions around here pretty much are lousy for sheep and goats. I think I’ll have 14 ewes and ram lambs to load up Friday evening. Will have to pull out at 5 AM Saturday. Got to meet oldest granddaughter Friday morning to give the 2 little granddaughters back, then get back to load lambs. Never a dull moment.

Those metal roofs can really cut you up if you slip! And get major hot. Best time to roof is spring and fall... Meanwhile...

I was handed my morning coffee about 5 minutes ago. This morning's offering is Folgers Crystals Classic Roast with added vanilla ice cream... It wasn't until Starbucks came along that I ever even thought to put ice cream in coffee!! Now it's a now brainer. However, I prefer vanilla to Butter Pecan....very interesting when you get to the bottom of the cup and have a bunch of nuts to eat!

Today is supposed to be the hottest day of 2025, 87⁰f (31⁰C). What's going on? Too soon, so we will have a break from it with clouds, wind and maybe some rain on Thursday ... then, back to hot Springtime weather.

Discussion in Garden Humor about housework for rainy days. No, I gotta get several loads of laundry out on the line – today. Coffee later!

Ok THAT is awesome. I note the dark sunglasses for a shiny reflective roof. Did you see spots for a while after?
