I love Honey bunches of oats with strawberries! I found another really yummy combo that is more of a snack - Raisin Rosemary crisps from Trader Joe's + cream cheese + ripe strawberries!!

Well grumpy me is inspired enuf to have y'day's breakfast again but subbing out fortifying the corn Flakes and using Cheerios. and raisins instead of too green bananaannana.
To think .. DST starts in less than a month

I have had coffee and light breakfast. DD and kids coming by to drop off something for me for Valentine's Day. I actually forgot Valentine's Day and getting stuff for the grand kids because they have all been sick and I did not think they would come by, but DD told me yesterday that they would drop off stuff at the door and Evelyn said she was SURE grandma had stuff for them, so in a panic I got to the Dollar Store and bought Valentine cards, sacks, fancy pens, note pads, candy, purple sunglasses, a truck and printed out My Little Pony coloring pages and dinosaur pages, and I bought the twins each a teddy bear, so I am ready. It would have been horrible if DD had not said anything to me. lol
I have started cabbage, onions, kale, marigolds, sweet peas, hollyhocks and I am not sure what else. I have lots of seeds and more seeds ordered. I need to go to Ace for my potting soil today. I have to have DS take me. My truck needs break work and I think I am strong enough to get in. It is a very high step up onto a rail and you have to use your arm to kind of pull yourself in, so I am not sure I can yet. I worked in the garden the other day raking some dirt and leaves and I had a shovel foo that was heavy and it did not cause any pain or soreness for the next day. It was the first day I felt strong and healed with that sternum incision.
I am hoping DD and her husband get busy and get their boxes for their garden. They have 2 so it is a start and we both need compost. I am going to try to do better with making compost this year to have some for fall. I hope everybody has a nice Valentine's Day. I used to have a busy Feb. My mother's birthday was on the 7th, Valentine's Day on 14th, DH's birthday the 15th and our anniversary on the 18th, so it has changed, but I have to have sacks of stuff for now 5 grand kids. I do not have an anniversary anymore on the 18th, but this year DS and wife will find out if they are having a boy or a girl, so next year I will have 6 grandchildren.

i went back to sleep after breakfast and then pretended to sleep for a while longer because i didn't want to get up and clean. then i decided that was silly and i was going to do something else today, which i've accomplished, so that helps.
no coffee required.

My father's birthday, also.
Born in 1918, I remember his mother explaining that it was, indeed, 1918. She was in her 90's by that time but seemed plenty sharp. It was also in his military and SSA records. Dad made it to October of 2019. He provided a nearly unimaginable target for his sons.
