Rhubarb and Barbarian are related words. Apparently, Latin speakers thought of this plant as coming from those folks from outside the civilized part of the world. Etymologists claim that this is the word origin .

Rhubarb grows like a weed in my yard. It loves full sun and I have to keep dividing it. IF you can find somebody who is dividing Theirs, you'll be set for life.

I took my rhubarb starts off of a giant rhubarb across the alley. The woman told me to hurry up and get it because she was going to rent the house out. I am not sure how old that rhubarb was, but that was about 2010 and I have lots of rhubarb. People have moved in and out of that house over the years and one man tried to transplant in several places. The chicken man with the rabbits, but other people came and tried to spray it and kill it, but now a young couple bought the house and the young woman is so excited she has rhubarb. It is in the same spot where I took my. It has not been watered or taken care of in any way, just several times actually sprayed when the weeds were.
