Malt-o-Meal with cherries on the side.

If there's a designated napkin, is it proper etiquette to spit 🍒 cherry pits at the breakfast table 🍒?

I have been away since Mother's Day. I have been busy. I have 4 metal boxes planted and other things in the ground. I just ordered 2 more. Between my sewing, gardening and grandchildren I have been busy.

May 31st was DD's birthday and everybody came here. My 4-year-old granddaughter started getting tired and when they went home she took a long nap and woke up with a fever of 102. She kept complaining of a sore throat, so DD took her to the doctor and I watched the other 4. She was diagnosed with hand, foot and mouth. Now we are waiting to see who gets sick. It was looking like maybe just her, but today is 6 days later and my grandson has a fever. I just hope the twins do not get it. They will be 6 weeks old tomorrow.

I just ordered a book that will be here tomorrow. A Mediterranean diet recipe book. I want some new ideas for all the things I am growing.

Just made something lovely today - a Focaccia with only 5 ingredients: flour, water, salt, dried parsley, and mozzarella cheese—plus our sourdough starter, which is nothing more than flour and water given time and care.

A little dip of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar brings it all together. Simple things often hold their own quiet magic, i fully agree.

Cream cheese and local honey in my Cream of Rice doesn't count for much. Should have used a whisk.

Slices of mango counts for international trade.

Just reading about the Yurok Tribe in northern California being able to purchase a large piece of land from a timber company. They hope to return the environment to one that will sustain salmon primarily through reforestation, stressing diversity. Blue Creek ... I've been there :). It all sounds so peaceful and worthwhile.
