Didn't know why my coffee was brewed but cold this morning. Timer was set at 4:45AM.
Apparently, there must have been a brown out that left the time of day, but not the "to brew" time, which was reset to midnight.
It is now reset.
DD's and I are determined to hit the gym MWF at 5:30AM--GOTTA have my coffee!! :rant
Stupid Shanty Town farm has peacock alarms going off, this time of night.
I will never raise them.
They are loud and nasty.

I have crows that wake me up at 4 a.m. When it is hot I like to have my window open and right when it is getting nice and cool, I have to get up and shut the window. Yesterday they were in the tree outside my window and upset with a squirrel. Sometimes I have thought they are looking in my window telling me to get up.

This morning I decided not to have my usual boiled eggs and oatmeal after reading where somebody said oats are only good for fattening horses. and it is doing a good job with me LOL. I decided to go out to the garden and get some kale and garlic scapes and I cooked that with some fried eggs. Without my oatmeal I probably will be starving in an hour or sooner. I am going to be having 2 cups of coffee.

I am going to try to eat daily out of the garden. I need recipes and ideas how to use things after I freeze besides soup. I have so many picky people that I do not get as much use out of the garden as I did before. DH and DD ate most of what I cooked. DS some but he does not like cabbage or any of the berries. He will eat the soups I make as long as there is not any cabbage. He has a wife now and she does not like a lot of things either, so I need to cook for myself. DD is not able to do much right now with taking care of babies.

DS put my last 2 metal boxes together and I will get them filled today. I have Bachelor Buttons blooming and my climbing roses and I have 2 peony plants that bloomed. I ate 1 strawberry yesterday. lol

I went with DD yesterday and the 3 kids were in the back of the car and I was in front. They were all well. Wes has some spots on his hands, so I did not touch anything int heir house or him. I waited in the car with the 3 thinking I was safe from hand, foot and mouth while DD took the twins into the chiropractor. She drove me home and an hour later Evelyn had a headache and a fever, so I do not know if I am exposed. I am hoping I had this in the past sometime. I know I was exposed to it with DS. DD thinks her husband has a sore throat this morning, but he went to work and he always says he feels bad or has a sore throat, so without a fever I do not believe he has it, so DD and the twins are the only ones that have not had it yet. It would be very sad if they get it.

they are geared to do their rounds at times relative to sunrise and sunset. we have some that come around each day too. i keep my windows closed (too much noise and allergic reactions to pollens so in the end it saves me a lot aggravation to leave them closed). we also have some mourning doves that hang out up top on the chimney so their calls echo down the chimney at times when it gets near dawn and sunset but also some days when it gets cloudy they are up there cooing. very sweet.
