Breakfast! Too early but I'd rather early, knowing full well that a nap may be on schedule for a Sunday.

Life and Corn Pops with slices of banana and 3 nice strawberries, bottom and top. Housework etc later but I can treat myself to some restful moments as long as it is dark out, even with that nearly full moon skidding along on the southern horizon ;).

It's MONDAY
Breakfast of the same as yesterday ... with a Kix substitute for Corn Pops. Which amounts to the same thing without so much sugar ;).

Moments before I have to put bins at curb for the bin man :). The mug should have just enough time to cool so that I can do more than a careful sip, now and then. Chasing sprinklers around the yard this AM.

Coffee is gone, just finished. Now to rev my engine and get going. Keeping my DD’s 3 dogs while they are on vacation. Driving me nuts and Carson is horrified. More on that later. Got to run errands for my sister in law today, she lost a leg because of diabetes a months ago, so I’m glad to help. May have to take her to doctor in Houston on Monday. I’ll be helping my sister unpack after moving back home for next 2-3 days. She needs same leg procedure that didn’t work for my sister in law. Angioplasty in the leg veins for poor circulation. I’ve been griping at her to get it done before she’s hopping around on one leg. Next Tuesday is a field day at a 10,000 acre wildlife reserve, I can’t wait.

I had my coffee and it was 49 degrees when I went outside. I think the peas and the lettuce are happy, but I am not sure about the Crenshaw melon.

I escaped the hand, foot and mouth. DD and the twins escaped too. I am so glad and i have no idea how she did it. her husband did get sick and he was the sickest of them all where he scared me to not go near them. He got so dizzy he fell down. He kept having headaches, fever, his throat was a mess and then his FOOT swelled up. It was crazy. He told DD that it felt like bee stings all over his foot. He finally recovered. I saw DD and all the kids yesterday. I said I will consider her house safe next week. She is doing a lot of cleaning. She had her husband sleep in the bedroom and she has been sleeping on the couch with the twins downstairs.

I really like the meal above ground boxes. My tomato plants look so good in them compared to a couple I have in the ground. I made a mistake where I put all these boxes. I meant to keep them apart where DS could mow. I am going to have to do some rearranging this fall. I would like to just worry about the boxes and have a compost pile and not worry about the ground. I need a different way to have my flowers. I went from gardening like a farmer with DH and all in rows and the idea of lots of food to can and freeze and then not so many people here and I kind of went to like a little cottage flower garden with smaller area for vegetables, but I can't control the weeds without tilling. I am really happy with the compost that I bought. It is the same as what DD gets. My pole beans are climbing and so dark green. They are not in a box, but I put a lot of compost in before planting.

I am getting ready for my second cup of coffee. I went out and looked at the garden. It raised a little yesterday and everything is getting ready to just take off. I have a huge hollyhock on the fence that just seemed to grow a foot overnight. This compost that I bought is making such a difference in my garden or it is the boxes. Maybe my soil was compacted, but even with tilling I have rarely had things look as healthy as they do now.
