What is the most practical way to keep coffee fresh? Freezer?
The online coffee companies say, yes. They say in containers with as little air as possible and defrost only as much as is needed at a time. I can imagine a larger container with multiple smaller ones inside. Maybe something like snack bags would be useful.

I have just learned that Melitta makes a filter the size that actually fits my teapot! I have been folding and cutting the larger size filter for years. (The teapot's metal screen is just not tight enough to contain the dry herb powder.) Well ... this is what happens when you visit the shelves at the soopermarket once and make a decision about available products.

Beverages are right up there at the top in my treat category. It has been that way since we had this abundance of cow's milk and just about nothing else except H2O. It was such an absolute treat to go to the grocery store and purchase a bottle of RC for a quarter. And, A&W came to town!

With more time on my hands these days, I have been thinking of returning to beer making. Dad and I were a team for 10 years on that.

Yeah. Maybe that Amazon subscription needs to slow down!

Nice! I used to make homemade wine for about that long. I made Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Pinot noir. It was fun, but very time consuming!!
