I had my cup of coffee. I am sticking to one right now. It tastes pretty good. I think I still have taste changes from medicine. I have more energy with some elimination of medicine. I have one I will be off of on Monday. I am gaining strength.

Lots of rain, but today sunshine and for the first time in a long long time, birds in the yard. I went out and cleaned my bird feeder and sprinkled some on the ground for the squirrels.

DD and kids all finally over colds and saw them Thursday and Friday. I still cannot hold the twins, but DD puts them up close to me so I can play with them. They are sitting up and crawling. They are 7 months old.

Doing a lot of sewing for my different online stores and people are busy buying for Christmas. I am finishing up my Christmas shopping.
Glad to hear such a positive and good update.

😌 After breakfast drowsy. Outdoors, suddenly, dense fog! WS warned us yesterday about that patchy fog and driving. I just checked the nearest airport and they bounced between 10 mile visibility at 2:30AM and then 1/2 mile at 4:30 and now at 2 miles. Drivers on highways be aware.

We will have another chance at record highs tomorrow with a new atmospheric river coming in. The westside of the Cascades will, once again, have the risk of flooding.

Full cup of herbal tea replacing the oolong here at the lazyboy. I finally had a chance for some organic, California Mandarins and quickly dehydrated and made a test run, yesterday. Just Fine 😊. Next test should be for the homegrown spearmint to learn a way to get it to "spoonable" so that it can be quickly measured in the mix. I don't want to mess it up nor mess up some machine. Assorted blenders and food processors to try but I just might start with the meat grinder attachment to the KitchenAid mixer. The motor and gearing aren't quite so directly in contact with the dry leaves and stems.

Coffee is tasting better. I finished the last pill of one medication this morning that I can stop. I am going to sleep in my bed tonight instead of the recliner and I made my first trip to Walmart. DS drove me, but I was able to walk all around okay and I bought Christmas dresses for Evelyn and Izzy.

I ordered a Christmas card for my brother off of Amazon. He keeps saying there are no pretty nativity scene cards anymore. He has always given us really pretty Christmas cards and birthday cards over the years. He spends extra money on pretty wrapping paper and bows. We have always just bought a cheap box of Christmas cards and Walmart wrapping paper and bows. I have always felt bad and think next year I am going to do better, but then it is all last minute stuff, but this year his card is really pretty and it is a pop up card when you open it and has the nativity scene and angels and something different for him. I still have no idea what gift to get him yet.

LOTS of wind doesn't help. These every 3-4 day windstorms with gusts around 50mph is putting a strain on the Pacific NW folks and the power systems. The lights have flickered 4 times since I rolled outta bed. (Do you have those wonderful rechargeable devices actually fully charged ;)?)

School delays and closures. Cascade passes have some terrible winds — current reports appear to be down.

Edit: Passes in the Rockies also! Severe thunderstorms. In December?

I spent most of the afternoon clearing tree branches from 10” - 17’ from everything that doesn’t move from last nights hurricane level wind storm. There a huge pond in the west pasture that;s not supposed to be there, and my internet is out. Using iPhone for contacts.
Looking on the bright side the next storm coming tonite I’m hoping the wind will blow all the debris off the roof and driveway.

I still have power knock on wood but 115,000 in northwestern oregon do not and many trees downed on houses blocking roads. The roads down the hill are flooded . Keeping all my solar lights and battery op candles ready for a long wet winter as predicted by the presence of La Niña .

A huge wind storm came thru at 1a.m.ish, yesterday. We lost power at 1:30 a.m.. It came back on at 2 p.m, Wed afternoon.

In the meantime, we had an OSHU appt for eye oncology at 10:20 this morning. I called them to see if they were open and yes, the entire hill had electricity. Hubs is healing well.

I5 southbound was completely stopped from Vancouver down across the Columbia River into Portland. It wasn't like that when we left at 9;15, said the maps app. So once stuck in non moving traffic, I got on my phone and had apple maps get me around the mess. I had to drive on the shoulder to get to the next exit. We were only 10 min late to the appt and they completely understood.

Now hubs and son are trying to start the Duromax dual fuel generator I bought last year. Gosh. It doesn't start. Gosh. Maybe wifey was right, that it needs to be started periodically to keep it in prime condition.

I took a nap. I was up at 1:30, looking around the property with a mega flashlight, then took about 2 hours to fall back asleep, then got up at 5:30 to light Mexican candles, and patrol the property again. No trees down on our lot, but plenty of trees and power lines down elsewhere. Glad I could do that, cus hubs stayed in bed, snoring...
