Check out this house that floated right off of its foundation and down the Nooksack River!

Up shortly after going to bed and took another try at the horizontal 3 hours later. Nearly made up for the lost sleep by showing up again on the vertical over 2 hours later than usual ... Held to a work schedule still, I would be running on bald tires, fumes in the fuel tank, and a shaky suspension ...

Cannot claim that I was troubled by the noise of 50 mph wind gusts but it was somewhat troubling to look out the kitchen window and see dancing tree branches. A sleeping person was killed not far away when a tree fell on his home during Wednesday's storm. Of course, being awake is no guarantee of avoiding a tree falling through the roof. Fortunately, we don't have one of those huge evergreens that near the house.

Breakfast!

Yes the wether has been treaturous I can’t say I wasn’t alarmed . It is a mess thruout the property. Wind has taken down all the loose pine needles and several branches littering the roof as well. Lots of clean up on the agenda. There is a huge pond in the pasture that wasn’t there 3 days ago.All the horrible stories on the news about flooding homes, property, roads, school closings, downed trees, landslides and power lines is almost if not sadly as bad as the storms that cause so much havoc in 1992 . Everywhere I look downstream is flooded.

Today the storms have moved on. No fog, bright blue skies. A chance to dry out. My spirits are lifted as I plan the rounding up of tree limbs and debris . Yet I cannot forget those families & the many souls the storms had left a horrific impact on so many thruout the PNW . Sending prayers and blessings their way for a complete recovery and swift healing from the impact of hurricane level storms back to back. 🙏🏽

it is quite ok after you go pee (in the bathroom - for those who need directions consult your local map).

i have had a bite for breakfast (half a cinamon roll and a glass of milk and then also a part of a glass of eggnog) and we've got the mixer set up as Mom is going to bake cookies. also there is now some Christmas music for her to listen to while she's doing that.
