I went around collecting seeds this morning. I had a few (what appeared to be) ripe pods on my Mexican Bearded Ladies (a variety of Bearded Tongue Digitalis). I've never harvested these before, as I've never grown from seed.
I took some brown pods off... but the entire inside of the pod was solid black and clumped a lot... no seed?! So I took some green ones which had unready tiny little balls of seed in them? SO... when is the RIGHT time to take the pod to get good seed?
