True with me :D.

We have Sharp-shinned Hawks here year around but the larger, very similar Coopers are supposed to migrate south during the Winter months. A hawk flew over the house this morning. It was too big for a Sharp-shinned, wings were wrong. Okay, we have Peregrine and Prairie Falcons here but I don't see the Prairie nearby. Peregrine!

We don't have a birdfeeder –– set out safflower seed once and had no takers. Don't want to use millet because the House Sparrows can be in sufficient numbers if the neighbors feed them, that they can be problems in the garden. If you want to watch a live camera on a birdfeeder go to Cornell's All about Birds and you can choose from several ... BTW, upstate NY is having quite a bit of wind today but still has Chickadees grabbing snacks.
