Cooking With Garlic Scapes

So this morning I got to harvest about 20 Garlic scapes, and plan on whipping those up with dinner (which will include some deep fried squash blooms I got this morning too).

Though I see lots of recipes, I think I will go with simply grilling them. My question is... do I remove the little bulb on the top of the scape, or do we eat that too?
