Today is the day of transplantation! Gladiola, snapdragons, crocosmia, freesia, lilies, Agapanthus (African Lily), Helenium....all went to the field.

I like garden birds, but I hate when black birds destroy the beds. Most of the times, they are hiding somewhere and watching. After you leave the spot, they will immediately come and hunt for insects or earthworms.

So, I prefer to stay in the safer side, especially when the plants are still very young.

A tiny tiny piece of land - I added a wire, and now honeysuckles, black-eyed Susan vine, scallions, Heleniums, mints, and chamomiles are the happy residents.

Isn't it remarkable how Black Eyed Susan vines begin to bloom when they still are so short? I grew them for the first time last year and loved them. Yours has a lovely smoky red blossom!
