Cutting garden ideas?

I had a friend who worked in very up scale flower shop on upper east side of Manhattan. His boss got the best hydrangea flowers from the crack heads, Central Park was 1 block away.

I second @digitS' requirement for statice. Easy to start from seed, and a multi-color row of them is pretty in the garden too. They bloomed for me by mid July.

I should pick some Gloriosa Daisies and see how well the hold up in water.
